11-08-1938 to 03-05-2023
Patsy Ann Webb Holloway gained her wings, heavenly bound Sunday, March 5, 2023. A native of Knoxville, TN, she was born November 8, 1938, to Elbert and Alma Webb. After the passing of her mother, she was raised by her aunt, Rosa Webb Franklin. Educated in the Knoxville School System including, Green School, Vine Junior High School, and graduated from Austin High School with the class of 1956.
She later attended the historic Knoxville College. She worked as a baker in the cafeteria of Knoxville city Schools, and later worked in the president’s house at Knoxville College. Answering the call of her entrepreneurial spirit, she along with her late husband, James E. Holloway, started the J&H Janitorial Services, serving the Knoxville and surrounding communities. Accepting Christ at an early age, she was raised and baptized at Payne Avenue Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Horace J. Bailey. She later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a member for over 40 years, serving as a Deaconess, Choir member, Sunday School teacher, Spirit of Love Ministry, lead Bible Study, and served on several church committees.
It goes without saying that she loved being active in the church, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family (but don’t interrupt her soap operas). She was an avid reader and loved to sit on the porch to people watch and wave. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, who will forever cherish her saying “I Love You More”, when they expressed their love for her. Those that encountered her on a regular basis are familiar with her favorite expression “ain’t that about nothing.”
Preceded in death by her husband, James Holloway (the love of her life) to whom she was married for over 35 years; mother and father, Albert and Elma Webb; son, Andrew T. Henry, Jr.; daughter Shirley Holloway; and sister, Carrie M. Webb.
She leaves to cherish her memory: loving and devoted daughter, Yosham (Timothy) Middleton; daughters, Angela Lewis (Murfreesboro, TN) and Savannah Holloway; sons, Walter Holloway (Murfreesboro, TN) and Lillard (Jackie) Holloway; grandchildren: Sheka (Steve), Nettra, Drena, Jason, Shawanna, Helena, Kimberly, Nyren, Keta, Katrice, Robert, Tamara, Isaiah and Tatka; great-grandchildren: Andrew, AJ, Jalen, Sedeke, Saderia, Jace, Arionna and Christopher; sister, Audrey Winton; nephews, John Robert (Liandra), James (Lindsay)(Killeen, Texas) and Michael (Tiara); niece, Tara (Derrick) (Clarksville, TN); aunt, Elizabeth Daniels (California) special friends, Elizabeth Price, Earline Conners, Beverly Ward, Andrea Skinner and the Austin High Class of 1956; and the best neighbors in the world Gerald and Robin Revels and Jagade DeBurns, whom she always appreciated, a host of other family and friends.
Loving, giving and kind, she loved the Lord and with Him is where she now rests. Her memory shall forever be cherished.
