Crystal Tucker

Crystal Devon Tucker, born November 3, 1975, passed away on September 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unapologetic authenticity.
For nearly twenty years, Crystal dedicated herself to the Department of Human Services in Knoxville. She was the kind of colleague who worked hard and still made everyone around her laugh.
Crystal was a firecracker in every sense of the word—fiery, bold, protective, and full of life. She told it like it was, never shying away from the truth, yet she carried a warmth that made people feel loved. Her goofy, silly nature and infectious smile could brighten even the hardest days. She had a gift for lifting spirits, cracking jokes, and reminding everyone that joy was worth fighting for.
Above all else, Crystal was a devoted mother. Her sons, Deondre Tucker and Jaden Grimmett, were her greatest pride and deepest love. She poured her heart into raising them, guiding them, and cheering them on with the fierce devotion only she could give. Her love extended to her cats as well, who were always cherished members of her family.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Hamer, and her ex-husband, Christopher Tucker.
Crystal is survived by her sons, Deondre and Jaden; her mother, Janet Hamer; her father, Michael Hamer; and her siblings, La Vonna, Mike, Juanita, and Miles Hamer. She also leaves behind many friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever carry her spirit with them.
Crystal’s life was a vibrant flame—bright, warm, and unforgettable. Her laughter, her honesty, her love, and her fire will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
May her memory be a blessing to every life she touched.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm with service immediately to follow at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue
