AnnieBell Hall Ramsey “Bell” 63, transitioned to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at UT hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Unwavering and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and coworker. AnnieBell attended Rule High School and was known as “compassionately honest.” Although extremely opinionated and known to stand her ground, AnnieBell would help anyone in need. Despite her tough exterior, she had a loving spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

AnnieBell worked tirelessly in the sanitation/maintenance sector at KCDC for over a decade, followed by Knox County Schools for almost two decades. Her tenure averaging close to fifteen years per occupation. She excelled at her job responsibilities and developed close-knit and meaningful relationships. Especially with her coworkers at Chilhowee Intermediate School. AnnieBell loved thrifting and earned the nickname “thrift store queen!” She enjoyed dining out with her family and friends, but she could also be found relaxing at home watching old Western movies.

AnnieBell is proceeded in death by her parents: Willie Bruce and Mable Ramsey, son: Brian Ramsey, and sisters Mozella Ryans and Gaynelle Mason.

She leaves to cherish her memories loving son: William Hughes, “Nanas” grandchildren: Xavier, Autumn, and Hailey Hughes, dedicated siblings: Amy Foreman, Quintella (William) Crawford-Newport News Virginia, Estella Johnson, Alonzo (Constant) Ramsey, Arlandis Ramsey, Willie Ramsey, and Lillian Giles. Many nieces and nephews, too numerous to name. Special thanks to the McDaniel family, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

We will miss her infectious smile, genuine hugs, and unforgettable conversations.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Emmanuel United Presbyterian with located at 3023 Selma Ave Knoxville, TN 37914 a service to immediately.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff for their impeccable kindness and support rendered during her transition. We are forever grateful.
