William Brown Jr

William Charles Brown Jr, age 79, was called home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Charles, or Charlie as he was known by family and friends, was a graduate of Austin High School. He served in the Army and was in the Vietnam War. He retired in 2001 after 41 years of employment at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, TN.

He is preceded in death by parents, William Charles Brown Sr. and Cora Lee Brown; and brother Gregory Brown. He leaves to mourn his passing; loving and devoted wife of 57 years Annie Wealthsby Brown; sister, Sandra (Earnest) Davidson, Detroit, MI; nephew, Roderick Davidson, Detroit, MI; devoted sister-in-law, Rose M. Wealthsby; cousins, Maurice (Regina) Parks, IBN (Deborah) Parks, North Carolina. Long time friends; James Lewis, Raymond Burton, and James Griffin.

Graveside services will be held April 14, 2026 at 2:00pm at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Rev. Anthony Cannon officiating. Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. www.jarniganandson.com
