Wilfred Warren Jr.

Wilfred (Jim) Warren Jr. was born January 9, 1946 to the late Wilfred Sr. and Rachael Warren.  He departed this life on July 26, 2026.

 He was an excellent mechanic, welder, and builder of race cars.  He raced at 411 Dragstrip and in other surrounding areas.  His favorite foods included pinto beans, cornbread, meatloaf and fried potatoes and bologna.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers; 4 sisters-in-law and others.

Jim leaves to cherish his devoted wife, Beverly Revels Warren whom he  married on Sept 8, 1979 (almost 47 years);  sons, Nate (Sara) Warren, Lamar Warren, Chris Warren, and Jule (Jennifer) Warren; stepson, Jeff Revels; daughter, Aimee Warren; stepdaughters, Lawana Purty, and Carleen Kinte;  grandchildren; Ahmaya (Inrique), Natieya Revels, devoted granddaughters, Telyssa (Pedro) Smith and Arquel Washington and Taylor; grandsons, Tyler, Elijah, Nate, and Trejuan Purty, and a great-grandson, Telsaii Smith; aunts, Dorothy Pate, Mary Neil Hodges, and Helen Hodges; special cousins, Christine (Richard), Larry (Julis) Smith Burchfield, Jack (Peggy) Young, Toletha (Fruitie) Davis; special friends, Rufus (Erica) Tipton, David Monday, William (Hooter) Bryant (Leslie), Grady (Amber) Garner and many more.

Family will receive friends Saturday August 8, 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Rest Haven Baptist Church, 224 E Watt St, Alcoa, TN 37701, with funeral services to follow. Apostle Jerry Upton eulogist. Interment at Grandview Cemetery, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803.
