Steven Allen

Steven E. Allen, born December 2, 1957 to the late Clara Faye Olden, passed away on May 10, 2026.  He was of Baptist faith and worked as a cook at Harold’s and later on at Meal on Wheels.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Kenya (Isham Grady) Cox, Jazzlynn Cox, Steven Cox, Jonitsa Brown Allen, and Brandon Brown; brother, Gregory (Marina) Allen, 9 grandchildren, long time companion, Mary Lee Womble; extended family, Carigiouse (James) Crippen, Iesha (Larry) Sawyers, Rev. Lacresha (Steven) Palmer, and a host of other family members and friends.  

There will be celebration of life on June 4, 2026.  Family will receive friends Thursday June 4, 2026 from 5:30-6:00 at Jarnigan’s Chapel, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, with funeral services to follow.
