Michael Green

Michael DeWayne Green born December 12, 1972 passed away at the University of Tennessee Hospital on June 8, 2026. He was a faithful member of Open Arms Church, and also gave his time for community service.  He enjoyed being the neighborhood DJ, fishing, watching wrestling, and Kung Fu movies.

Preceded in death by: father, Claxton Green; sisters, Themesa Green and Sonya Green

Michael leaves to cherish his memories wife, Taffany Holloway-Green; children, La’Deja, Christopher, Kierra, all of Knoxville; 8 grandchildren; brother, Gary, Knoxville; sisters Shalonda and Peggy, both of Knoxville. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to name.  A special thank you to the University of Tennessee hospital, and the Davita Knoxville Dialysis.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Jarnigan’s Chapel 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm, with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 pm Pastor Steve Simpson Sr., eulogist. Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan and Son Mortuary.
