James Smith

James Smith departed this life January 27, 2025 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a retired Registered Respiratory Nurse at Baptist Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Smith.

James leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Ruby Rodgers and Linda Wagner; brother, Terry Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm with a service to immediately follow.

Service to be held at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, located on 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914 with Rev. Vincent Brown - Officiating. The interment will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 @ 12:30pm at East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery, 2200 E. John Sevier Hwy.
