God,  in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call His good and faithful servant, Ernest Leon Sullivan, home during the early morning hours of Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Ernest Leon Sullivan, affectionately known to many as "Ernie," was born on May 15, 1956, to the late Ezell Sullivan, Sr. and Bessie M. Sullivan.

At an early age, Ernie accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He was raised in the New Hope Community and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he developed a strong foundation of faith that remained with him throughout his life.

Ernie was a proud graduate of Fulton High School, Class of 1973, where he played football for the Falcons. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a Private First Class from 1973 to 1975.

Throughout much of his adult life, Ernie enjoyed the open road as a professional truck driver, traveling through 48 of the 50 states. His career allowed him to meet people from all walks of life and experience much of the country he loved.

Like many people, Ernie faced challenges along life's journey. Through it all, he remained resilient and found joy in the company of family and friends. He cherished the relationships he built over the years and was known for his warm spirit, memorable stories, and love for those closest to him.

Ernie's life was marked by faith, service, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for family and friendship. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
