DeLois Gordon

DeLois Gordon of Knoxville, TN departed this life May 27, 2026 at her home. DeLois was born February 4, 1952 to the late Dorothy Mae Gordon. She graduated from Rule Highschool. Lois, as she was affectionately known, was a woman that enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved spending time with her family. To Lois, there was no better place to be than having a good laugh with family and friends. Lois was the life of all family gatherings. Whether it was telling a joke or a story, she would fill the room with laughter and joy. Lois also loved to express herself through poetry. She would write poems to help lift the mood of someone that was feeling down. She was a very companionate woman.  Her special smile will truly be missed by all that knew her.


She is preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Mae Gordon; grandparents, James and Kizzie Guinn; sister, Elizabeth Wilson; nephew, Jimmy Gordon; and devoted companion, Roosevelt John Dorsey.


Lois leaves to cherish her memory, devoted daughter, Laquasha (Derrick) Parks; grandchildren, Terdasha Mills, Dalesha Gordon, Derrick Parks, Jr., Jamerial Parks, Gordon Parks, Derriana Parks, and Derrius Parks; Great grandchildren, Emory and Ter’ryah Glover, sisters, Evelyn Dozier, Patricia Gordon, Belinda Thompson, and Marilyn (Tony) Littlejohn; brother, Lawrence Gordon, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to include special friend, Patricia Scott.


Family will receive friends Wednesday June 3, 2026 from 11 to 12pm at Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, 1723 Washington Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917, with funeral services to follow. Rev. John Jordan officiating. Interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701.
