Annie Brown

Annie Catherine Brown, age 78, was surrounded by her loved ones when she gained her heavenly wings on August 17, 2026. Annie, mostly called “Cat” by family and friends, was a graduate of Austin High School. She was employed at the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge, TN for 20 plus years before she retired. 

Annie is preceded in death by parents, George D. Wealthsby, Sr. and Isabel D. Wealthsby; husband, William C. Brown, Jr.; sister, Dorothy M. Wealthsby; and brother, George D. Wealthsby, Jr.

She leaves to mourn her passing her very loving and devoted sister, Rose M. Wealthsby; sister-n-law, Sandra (Earnest) Davidson; nephew, Roderick Daivdson of Detroit, MI; cousins, Betty Williams, Ruby Oliver, Charles Standifer and Mary Louise Hightower of Georgia, Maurice (Regina) Parks of Knoxville, TN and Ibn (Deborah) Parks of North Carolina and a host of other cousins, family and friends. With much appreciation, a very special thank you to Neakemma Foster and Tony Finley for their devoted dedication and loving care.

A graveside service will be held Friday August 28, 2026 at 8:30 am at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN. Rev. Nancy Reid Officiating.
