Angie Lennice Keith, 70, of Murrieta, California, transitioned peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026. Born May 13, 1955, to Olivia Keith and Floyd Evans, Angie lived a life beautifully marked by faith, resilience, and unwavering familial devotion.
A cherished member of the Knoxville community, she attended Knoxville College and served as a beloved aide at Maynard Elementary, supporting students in special education. Her deep faith was central to her life, marked by service as an usher and choir member at her home church, Clinton Chapel AME Zion. Angie relocated several times throughout her life, including to Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, and Starkville, MS, always ensuring the needs of her multi-generational family were met, especially in her role as a devoted, live-in grandmother. She was known for her creative spirit, being an avid cards player, dancer, and advocate.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia Keith and Floyd Evans, and her uncles and aunts: Clifford Taylor, Lillian Keith McMullen, Mayola Keith Strong, Stella Keith Waller, Archie Dean Keith, Walter Keith, and David Keith.
Angie leaves to cherish her memory: one devoted daughter, Angel Lennice Green Brutus (Claude Brutus); one loving brother, Donald (Pat) Keith; three cherished granddaughters, Kendall Brutus, Journey Brutus, and Harper Brutus; the family of uncle William (Evelyn) Keith; devoted cousins Lori Keith and Phyllis Keith Boles; devoted friends in the Roper family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and additional friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church, located at 546 College St, Knoxville, TN 37921 on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12:00pm EST.
