Mary Amanda Clarissa Ivery was born on October 23, 1989, and peacefully departed this life on July 23, 2026, with loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with a long illness.
Amanda leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Theresa Isom; her father, Timothy Boyd; her brother, Darren Espey; her sisters, Adrienne Howard-Goines and LaKisha Howard; grandmother, Joyce Elder; her devoted nieces, Ebone’ Kennedy, Christal Goines, Jordyn Weaver; and nephew, Justin (Freddie Ransom) Ruffin; great niece, Tennessee Rena Ruffin.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved aunt and uncle, Pastor Wayne and Wenda Johnson, whose unconditional love, faithful prayers, and unwavering support were a tremendous blessing throughout her life.
Along with a host of other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She also leaves behind three of the best friends she could ever have, Sandrea Wilson, Chris Brown, and Zyamere “Zy” Favors, whose love, loyalty, and friendship meant so much to her during her life.
Amanda was a vibrant, talented, bold, creative, and determined woman who embraced life with passion. She dreamed big, set meaningful goals, and pursued life with unwavering determination. Though she did not have the opportunity to accomplish every aspiration she held in her heart, her strength, resilience, and beautiful spirit inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Amanda, our Tennessee Wildflower, fought her illness with remarkable courage and grace. While her earthly journey has ended, we find peace in knowing she has won the ultimate victory and now rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who prayed, cared, visited, encouraged her, and helped make her days as comfortable, peaceful, and joyful as possible. Your kindness, compassion, and unwavering support will never be forgotten.
A memorial celebration of Amanda’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at noon at New Hope Baptist Church, located 3777 Wilcox Blvd, Chattanooga.
