My deepest condolences and Prayers for the Family. In high school, Mr. Spears always invited me into his home. He used to talk about instruments and cars with us. He was a great role model and great human being.

Walter, you were such an awesome friend and an integral part of the instrumental music community of East Tennessee. You left a positive impression on every single person you encountered. John Snyder and I are both extremely saddened by your loss, but I know you are with the Lord now. Save me a seat--
