Teresa Mills-Pope

Teresa Rochelle Mills-Pope, born March 31, 1960 to Milford Mills Sr. and Virginia Butler Mills.

Teresa's presence was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her throughout her remarkable life. Teresa found joy in cooking, often sharing her delicious creations with family. Teresa loved to dance until times got better.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Mills; parents, Milford Sr. and Virginia Mills; brothers, Milford Mills Jr. and Gerald (Jeneva) Mills; sister, Alice Blair Caudle; grandparents, Johnnie (Lucille) Butler and George (Maggie) Mills; uncles: Samuel (Elizabeth) Mills, Wilton (Lillie) Mills, Carl (Ruby) Mills Sr., Will (Helen) Mills; aunts: Jeanette (Rufus) Hardin Sr., Minnie Clemons, Margarite Mills, Ollie Smith, and Roberta Ragland.

She leaves to cherish her memories devoted sons; Rodney Mills and Lawson Pope Jr.; brothers: Charles (Debra) Mills, Gregory Mills, Jeffrey Mills; devoted nephews: Timothy Davis, Jonathan Key, William Blair, Gregory Buchanan; devoted nieces: Terri Mills, Dondra (James) Dukes, Debra (Eugene) Lee, Cassie Mills, Diamond (Victor) Carero; devoted cousin, Kivia Dixson; God-children: Kemeisha Boatwright, Keema McDowell, Caron Boatwright, Tequilla Bone, Heaven Bone, and William Dixson III; and a host of great nephews and nieces.

Special friends: Elaine Boatwright, Robin Blair, Casey Woodley, Jackie Hall.

Teresa had a special place in her heart for cousin, Lynn (Wanda) Clemons.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. The family will welcome friends from 5:00 to 6:00pm, with service immediately following at 6:00pm.
