Sherwin Joseph Harris gained his wings on February 14, 2024. He was born in
Knoxville, Tennessee on February 7, 1974. He was the only child of Joyce
Billingsley. He spent his high school time in California where he graduated from Grant High School in Los Angelos California, Sherwin currently worked for
DHL in Knoxville.
“Tane”, as he was so lovingly called, was loved by all who knew him. Tane had a funloving spirit and the most infectious smile. He loved to laugh and have fun. He was profoundly known as a respectful and genuinely “nice” man. Tane was
one that always dressed to impress. He was very close to his already close-knit family, and he really loved and cared about his family. He shared
friendships with close friends as though they were brothers and sisters. He had people that loved him all over the city of Knoxville.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Alma Beatrice Billingsley,
grandparents Albert and Geneva Harris, greatgrandparents Joseph & Ollie
Lundy, brother Santana Griffin
Tane will be sadly missed. He leaves to cherish in loving memory, his mother, Ms. Joyce Billingsley, father, Mr. Sherwin (Connie) Harris, 1 son Zyon Harris,1 daughter Maedaysia Rogers, 1 Grandson Maeson Rodgers, 5 brothers Derrick Harris, Sherwin Clarence Harris, Jonathan Harris, Anthony Harris, Thomas (Alex) Harris, Jason Harris, 3 aunts Jacqueline Lenior, Norma Thaxton, Yvonne Billingsley 1 Uncle Wilford Billingsley.
He also leaves to mourn (the 1st cousins crew) Rhavonda Dale, Christus Williams, Kelly (Kelvin) Hardin, Nikia Williams, Damion (Nicole) Billingsley, Dabresha
(Reginald) Bell, Beyneska (Antwan) Swann, best friendbrother Tobias Towns, special nephew Deshawn (Ruder) Williams, special friend Lyshandra Roper, chosen kin Johneisha Rodgers, Shaonna Rodgers, Shatara Rodgers, Cierra Rodgers,
Ky’Asia Rodgers, Anaijah Rodgers many cousins, family, and friends.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1pm - 2pm and the service will start at 2:00pm. Services will be held at Logan Temple AME Zion Church, located at 2744 Selma Avenue, Knoxville, TN.
