Sharon Ann Hargrove departed this life and entered the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on October 15, 2025, at Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital.
Sharon’s legacy of kindness, service, and mentorship began early in life as a devoted Girl Scout leader, where she guided and inspired countless young girls to reach their fullest potential.Â
A well-known pillar in her community, Sharon’s dedication and leadership earned her numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding contributions to the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and the Greater Girl Scout Leaders of New Jersey. Her passion for helping others continued throughout her professional career, including her years at Kroger, and later at Lakeshore Mental Health Hospital, where she served with compassion until her well-deserved retirement. In her later years, Sharon found joy and sisterhood as a proud member of the Red Hat Jewels, where her laughter and warmth brightened every gathering.
She was lovingly welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Betty Conner-Reid and Emmitt Reid Jr.; her sister, Emily Dawn Reid; grandparents, Lula Castling Reid and Emmitt Reid Sr.; aunts, Mary Helen Clark, Mattie Jones, Fannie Conner Cospy, and Cynthia Conner; uncles, Glenn and Billy Reid; and cousins, Robin Conner, Linda Waters, Curtis Waters, and Avron Cospy.
Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her homegoing are her beloved daughters, Jamisha Davis and Juqueetah Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Qwayzaan, Jaquy, Tyemei Trotter, Hashim Davis, Dyrqui Murphy, and Ladaisha Fitzgerald; and her devoted goddaughter, Tikeiya L. McNeill. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, including Janice Williams and family and Luther Waters and family, along with countless friends who were touched by her gentle spirit.
Sharon’s family will forever miss her infectious love, unwavering loyalty, and boundless heart. Her presence brought light, laughter, and comfort to everyone around her, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital, DCL of Maryville, and special friends Gladys Davis of East Orange, NJ; Barbara Gaines, Gaynell Ferguson, and Betty Lenoir.
