Ruth Louise Russell McKinney

Ruth Louise Russell McKinney passed away October 26, 2024 at the age of 89. She is preceded in Glory by her mother, Hattie Cantrell.

She was a faithful member of Greater Bush Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities — such as Deaconess, Women’s Ministry, and on the Mother’s Board. She worked for Knoxville Children Center for over 20 years. She graduated from Austin High School in 1954. She was a member of the Delta Patroness Board and Order of the Eastern Star Wheeler Leona Chapter #232. She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband of 62 years, Charles McKinney; daughter, Michelle (Eric) Lattimore; sister-in-law, Carrie West; brother-in-love, Hughie Moulden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Logan Temple AME Zion Church, 2744 Selma Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914 — with homegoing service following at 1:00pm.

Internment will convene immediately following the homegoing service at Berry Highland South, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920.
