Ruth Crump

Ruth Crump was born, August 11, 1939; she departed life, May 12, 2024 at home.

She was a loving housewife who took care of the community, family and was a all around person who would help a stranger.

Preceded in death by, Darryl Florence, Jr., devoted companion, Tom Johnson ; husband, Tim Crump, twin sister, Ruby Patterson; parents, Lizzie May and Willie James. 

Left to cherish memories, devoted daughters, Teresa (James) Davis, Renda Elder, Ruthann Crump; son, Andre Elder; sister, Janell Elder Green, Milwaukee; grandchildren, Corey Davis, Shawn Mills, Derrick Elder, Darresa Florence;  great grandchildren, Kavien, Jayden, Aiden, Anona, Shai Auna, Derrick Jr., Maurice, Aniya, Tre, Keilan and Niya; several cousins, relatives, Sandra (Elder) Bennett and Shirley McDowell, Ronald Elder a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends, 2:00- 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024 at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral service, 3:00 p.m.

Interment, Mount Olive Cemetery.
