Robert Robinson

Robert Jermel Robinson, 50, of Knoxville, TN, departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born on October 26, 1974, in Port Huron, MI to Sharon Yvonne Robinson & Robert Duane Cates. Robert was a proud Father and very well known in his community.

A man of many talents Robert was a gifted rapper and basketball player known to many as "Tan Macc".

Above all, Robert cherished his children, Shi'dayia', Unique, Dasha, Christian, Yasmin, Sahari & Sapphire, and his devoted partner of 10 years, Shandra "Pooh" Hand. His love for family was unwavering, and his vibrant personality could brighten any room he entered. Known simply as "Big Brother" to his siblings and "Big Unc" to a host of nieces and nephews, he was the heart of the family, stepping into the role of a steady rock after so many losses in the past decade. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love and laughter will be forever remembered.

Robert is survived by his partner, Shandra Hand, Daughters, Shi'dayia' Michea Stewart, Unique McNair, Dasha Yelder, Christian Southern. Yasmin Yelder, Sahari Yvonne Robinson, Sapphire Shar'Mel Robinson & Stepson Markus Carter. He also leave behind. Six Grandchildren, Uncle Greg (Carrol) Cates, Aunt Jerilyn Cates, GodMother Lois & Micheal Brown, siblings Edward (Rita) Cannon, Keosha Anderson and a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins. family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon Yvonne, grandmother, Beverly Ann Prigmore Ellis, and Patty Mae Cates.
