With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Ralph B. Mathes Sr., who entered eternal rest on June 5, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born on September 9, 1955, Ralph was a proud graduate of Austin-East High School, Class of 1973. Throughout his life, he was known for his quiet strength, strong work ethic, and devotion to family.
Ralph was a devoted father to his son, Ralph B. Mathes Jr., and a loving grandfather to his grandson, Ty P. Mathes. He shared a close bond with his daughter-in-law, Tracee Mathes, who was like family to him. His greatest joy came from his family, and he was a steady source of love and support.
He is survived by his son, Ralph B. Mathes Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tracee Mathes; grandson, Ty P. Mathes; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service will be held on June 13, 2025, with receiving of friends beginning at 5:30 PM at Jarnigans and Sons, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914.
