Paula Sue Moore McCray Newton

Paula Sue Moore McCray Newton of Knoxville, TN departed this life on January 9, 2024 at Fort Sanders Medical Center at the age of 86. Born August 31st 1937 to the late Churchill Everett and Eula Mae Armstrong Moore. She was a member of Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E Zion Church. Paula retired from the Knox County Schools system. She is preceded in death by her son, Paul Darnell McCray, granddaughter, Kimberly McCray, and sister, LaFreda Moore Odom.

Survived by daughters, Joletta (Daniel) McCray Moon, and Ryevena Newton Smith; sisters, Lavonia Moore, Sherwood Davis, and brother, Reverend Churchill Moore Sr., daughter in law, Beverly McCray, and a host of grandchildren, niece, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 14th, 2024 from 1:30-2:30pm at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914, with the funeral to follow. Interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Monday January 15th at 11am. Final arrangements by Jarnigan and Son Mortuary.
