Pamela Denise Slaughter-Johnson, 63, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Pamela will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family, friends, colleagues, Church, and community.
Born on October 19, 1962, in Nashville, Tennessee, Pamela was the cherished daughter of Leslie Elmore and Mary Edna Mae Slaughter. She was raised by her loving Granny, to whom she remained deeply devoted throughout her life. Pamela graduated from Bellevue High School in 1980, earned an Associate’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Nashville State Technical Institute in 1982. She later went on to earn 3 more Degrees. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College, Master’s Degree in Project Management from Capella University, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource with a Concentration in Development from Tusculum College.
 "Even though Pamela was so educated and so smart, she didn't feel the need to show it off. Instead of boasting about her intelligence, it was more important to her that she "let her adorning be the person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in GOD's sight is very precious" (1st Peter 3:4)."Â
Preceding her in death are her parents Leslie Slaughter and Edna McElroy, grandmother, Mattie Slaughter, devoted and loving son, Alan Armstrong, baby brother, Wiley Lamont Carr, and twin nephews, Desmond and Demond Hubbard.
 Pamela leaves to cherish her memory loving and devoted husband, Johnny Johnson, son, Jarvis Allen, caring grandson, Malachi Hawkins, stepson, Christopher Johnson, stepdaughter, Kimberly Johnson, sisters, Linda Trice, Mildred Slaughter, Evon Slaughter, Vicki Ashford, Nancy Dansby, and Donna Reels; devoted aunts, Dorothy and Martha Slaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends Saturday November 8, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at McDonald Drive Church of Christ, 3800 McDonald Drive Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral services to follow. Minister Eric Bonner officiating. Interment at New Gray Cemetery.Â
