Julia Ann Dixson Rogers gained her heavenly wings, December 18, 2023, at home. Julia was the fifth child born to Julian Sr. and Mary Ella Dixson, March 3, 1944. Julia was a fun and loving person who devoted her life to her family. She worked as a Lab Technician at Children’s Hospital and a Baker at Knox County Schools until retirement. She held several positions in her church, New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Julia was a special person who left a lasting mark on everyone whom she met. She will be forever held dearly in our hearts.
Preceded in death by, parents, Julian Sr., and Mary Ella Dixson; and loving husband, Jesse Rogers.
Left to cherish her memories: daughters, Joy Rucker, and April (Markezee) Clark; grandchildren, Khadijah Rucker, Markeysha Clark, JaLajawun Rucker, and TreVaughn Clark; great-grand daughter, Tatyana Jackson; brother, William Dixson; sisters, Mary Katherine Thomas, Helen Winton, and Alma (James) Williams; aunt, Ella M Fortson.
Family will receive friends, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 24, at New Friendship Baptist Church; funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Rev. Dr. Joseph B. Smith, Eulogist, Pastor Dennis Murphy, Presiding.
Interment New Gray Cemetery, 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
