Mozella Louise Ryans

Mozella Louise Ramsey Ryans, affectionately known as “Mo” - 66, transitioned to her final resting place on Monday, September 9, 2024, at home while surrounded by her loved ones. Mozella was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She was one of ten children and will be terribly missed by her siblings.

Mozella is preceded in death by her parents Willie Bruce and Mable Hall Ramsey.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband: Curtis Stanley Ryans Sr; loving sons, Curtis Stanley Ryans Jr, and Shannon Bruce Ryans; devoted daughter, LaSharra Mabel Ryans. Siblings: Gainelle (Dan) Mason, Amy Foreman, Quintella (William) Crawford, Estella Johnson, Alonzo (Constance) Ramsey, Arlandis Ramsey, Anniebelle Clark Ramsey, Willie Ramsey, Lillian Giles, and Jeffrey Goodwin. Mozella, a.k.a. “Nana”, leaves multiple grand- and great-grandchildren to cherish her memories. Special friends and loved ones: Damon Taylor, Geraldine Howard, and Gail Sankey. Godchildren: Shavonda Ligon, Bradley and Brian Dickey. Nieces and nephews, too numerous to name, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Additionally, the family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Covenant Hospice Staff for their support and compassion.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, 3023 Selma Ave., Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral services to follow. Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.
