Michael Jackson

Michael Aaron Jackson, born May 8, 1967, to the union of Willie F. Jackson, Sr. and Andrea Calhoun Jackson, departed his earthly home on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Michael graduated from Bearden High School in Knoxville, TN and Tennessee State University in Nashville. He was an active and proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. since 1991. He recently married Alexica Portlock on February 14, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie F. Jackson, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Bertha Jackson; maternal grandparents, Willie H. and Ann M. Calhoun; uncles, Steve and Bill “Nelija” Calhoun; Step-Mother Inetta Jackson and brother, Brad Hughes.

His life will be remembered by all of his surviving family: Wife, Alexica Jackson; Mother, Andrea Y.Calhoun-Jackson Hughes; Siblings, Willie F. (Mindy) Jackson, Jr., Latanya (Alex) Lee, Kiyanna Jackson,Reggie (Angela) Jackson, Jasmine Jackson, Terry, Mark, Terris and Lukesha Hughes; Step-Mother Janelle Jackson, as well as, his very close friends, Richard (Nicole) Russell and many more devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Michael truly lived life to the fullest through his relationships with his many family members, friends and the “Bruhs” of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He is loved by many, and his life will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.

The family invites you to join them to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course, just chat about good times had with Michael at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 2504 Cecil Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917 on Saturday, November 15th. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 10am beginning with the Omega service. Non-blooming plants preferred.
