Michael Allen departed this life peacefully at home, May 30, 2023.

Member of Greater Bush Grove Baptist Church, where he was baptized and with lessons learned, education, and a heart of gold always on display, he used this as a foundation at his place of employment at Bell South, the University of Tennessee, and the Knoxville Hilton, from which he retired.

Michael was named Honorary Mayor of the Mildred Community, a role that he thoroughly embraced and enjoyed.

Preceded in death by father, Willie Allen, and sister, Brenda Totten.

Survived and cherished by devoted wife of almost 40 years, Sherria Brown Allen; mother, Mattie Allen; devoted father-in-law, Charles Brown, Sr; children, Traymon Allen and LaKesha (Marc) Whaley; grandchildren, Traymon, Jr. and Jamond Allen, Eric and Elijah Whaley; sisters, Saundra Gill Edwards, Kathy and Shirley Allen; brother, Willie Crawford; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too numerous to name, will carry on with treasured memories.
