Mattie Sawyer

Mattie Elizabeth Sawyer, born December 18, 1942 in Asheville North Carolina to loving parents, Willie and Mary Robinson.  She was a faithful wife for 57 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie B and Mary K Robinson.

She is survived by her husband Larry Lee Sawyer Sr, her sons Marcus (Deon) Sawyer, Larry (Iesha) Sawyer Jr, sister Shirley Robinson and grandchildren La'Reasha (Caleb) Naysmith, Indeah Sawyer, Iyahna Sawyer, Larry Lee Sawyer III, Collin Thompson and Kenneth Aul and a host of relatives and friends. 

She loved spending time with her family and giving. Her hobbies included word puzzles, doing hair,  watching television and every now and then a small coke and bit O honey candy. She was very passionate about spending time with her grandchildren and her core values were centered around her devotion to her family and providing for her loved ones.

The family will receive family and friends from 6 to7pm  Monday April 1, 2024 followed by funeral services at Jarnigan and son's mortuary. 2823 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914

Burial: Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 10am located at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920
