Marico Alexander Isom, the third of three children was born on June 19, 1975, to the late Juanita Coats-Isom.
Marico graduated from Whitehaven High School and continued his studies at the University of Tennessee Martin and University of Memphis where he received a Bachelors Degree in Professional Studies in Information Technology in 2004, Bachelors Degree of Liberal Studies in Communications in 2006 and a Masters of Science Degree in Project Management in 2022 from City University of Seattle.
He united in marriage to Melissa Hawes on June 2, 2003, and they welcomed their son, Marico II on February 17, 2004.
Marico would not pass up a good plate of food. He would ask his brother A.J. whenever he was making ribs or lasagna, make him an extra slab of ribs and an extra pan of lasagna. He loved eating good, and at the same time, he’s asking everyone “is my stomach big?” Only Marico would buy a set of golf clubs thinking he was Tiger Woods, when he really should have been using the clubs at “Topgolf.” He enjoyed going to the casino and playing poker. He would say “had to feel the felt.” He had to have him a good cigar. Upon moving to Knoxville, he fell in love with his brother’s dog, “Pee Wee.”
