Linda Montgomery

With deep sorrow and overflowing love, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Linda Gail Montgomery, who departed this life on August 14, 2025, at the age of 69 in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

Linda Gail is proceeding in passing with her mother Lonnie Imogene Hoskey, which we all knew as "NaNa".

Linda is survived by her sister, Jaqueline Montgomery. She was a proud mother to Laterria and Courtney Montgomery and a loving grandmother to Courtney Jr., Demarcus, Brandon, Jaden, Emmanuel, Destiny, Cournisha and Montre — each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love extended far and wide to a beautiful circle of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family members who will cherish her memory.

Linda’s heart was as big as her personality. She loved fiercely, protected her family like a lioness, and made everyone feel welcomed in her presence. Whether you were family by blood or by bond, she saw you, supported you, and made you laugh — often all at once.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her sass, her signature sense of style, and the joy she brought into every room. She taught us to laugh loudly, love deeply, and never be afraid to be yourself.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Lennon Seney United Methodist Church, located at 2084 Dandridge Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915 with a service to immediately follow. Bishop Kevin Perry officiating.

Interment, August 20, 2025 at 10:30am at Mt. Olive Cemetery, located at 2301-2403 Berry Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to bring a memory, a smile, or even a mayonnaise sandwich — in tribute to the unforgettable woman who could lighten up any day.

Rest peacefully, Linda Gail. Your spirit, your laughter, and your love will echo through generations.
