Laqueshia Shuntay Castle, age 39, entered eternal rest on January 23, 2026. A lot of people’s lives will never be the same without her laugh and love. Our cherished Queshia was born November 26, 1986, to Marquitta “Tootsie” Castle and Anthony Buford in Knoxville Tennessee.

Preceded in death by her loving grandmothers Odella Buford and Patricia Crawford; grandfather, Douglas Crawford; uncle, Christoper Castle; and sister, Annecissa Brown.

Laqueshia had a heart of gold and was always willing to give her last to help everyone around her. She was full of life and loved to have fun. She always stepped up in everyone’s time of need. She was a loving mother to her only son, Chris. She absolutely adored her grandson, Major, spending every moment she could with him.

Left to carry on her loving memory are her son, Christoper D Castle; grandson, Major Castle; devoted mother Marquitta “Tootsie” Castle; father, Anthony Buford; Sisters, Monique Castle, Janecissa Brown, Ablessing Brown, Micah Brown and Laurecissa Brown; brothers, Marcus Castle, Tyrell Barham and Anthony Brown; Aunt Kimberly Castle; Uncle Albert Castle; Special nephews I’Saun Fortson and Jaylen Jack and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to include Bethany Hernandez, who was like a sister and devoted friend

Laqueshia will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 7th, 2026 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Jarnigan and Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral services to follow. Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. www.jarniganandson.com
