Kelvin "Calvin" Thomas

Kelvin (Calvin) of Knoxville, TN departed his life on July 27, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. He was formerly employed by the lumber company on Middlebrook Pike and was a concrete finisher. He was an excellent cook for Knoxville College and all his neighborhood friends.

Kelvin graduated from South Young High School class of 1985. He was a basketball player. In 1985, he was awarded KIL Basketball Player of the Year.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Caldine Dragg Thomas; wife, Capucine Thomas; and son, Calvin Jr. He is survived by Dollie (Gary) Love; Renae Thomas; Charles Jr. (Laura) Thomas; David (Kim) Thomas; Jerry (Vicky) Thomas; Jeff (Juanita) Thomas; son, Gregory Smith; daughter, Antoinette Rucker; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many devoted friends — and they know who they are.

Services for Kelvin "Calvin" Thomas are scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Wilder Street Baptist Church.
