James Chandler

James William Chandler departed this life April 21, 2025 peacefully at home. James loved being around his family, watching his Western TV shows and being active in his church. As we bid our farewell to James Chandler. We celebrate a life lived with faith, grace, joy and love. His journey here on earth may have come to an end but his lovely spirit will continue to guide and uplift us. He will always be a reminder of the love, laughter, joy, and bright smile that he brought to all of us for a lifetime.

He is preceded in death by parents, Mamie Jones and Charles Chandler, Eddie Jones; sisters, Delois Willis, Patricia Jones and Linda Jones; and brother, Marc Chandler. 

James leaves to cherish his memory wife, Jewelle Chandler; children, Kavonda (James) Chandler-Price, James (Miracle) Chandler, Kimberly Fair, L.A Chandler, Edward (Rhonda) Chandler, Jemeki Worley, and Bridgetta Worley; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Michelle (Jack) Humphery, Debra Chandler, Wanda Battle, Tracy (Shawn) Herman, Jacqueline Osbourne, Christine Payne; brothers, Charles Chandler, Eddie (Kim) Jones, Danny (Melba) Jones, Lorne (Lynn) Jones, Walter Patrick; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to name. The family wants to thank University of Tennessee Medical Center and Smoky Mountain Hospice staff for their care and support.

The family will gather at Caswell Park, 620 Winona St. Knoxville, TN 37917, Saturday May 3, 2025 for a balloon release at 2pm. Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. www.jarniganandson.com
