Jackie Chandler

Jacqueline Laverne Chandler went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on September 20, 2023. Jackie as she was affectionately known was born to the late Howard and Gladys Hardin Sr., November 5, 1949.

Jackie was educated in the Knox County School System. After graduating from Austin High School, Jackie continued her education by enrolling in Knoxville College. She graduated with a degree in mathematics. While attending college, Jackie joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Preceded in death by husband, Lee Ross Chandler; sister, Dora Chandler; and brother, Howard Hardin Jr.

Jackie leaves to mourn her passing, devoted son, Shannon Lee Chandler; sisters, Rev. Betty (John) Chandler, Bobbie Hardin ; a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, family and friends.

Family will receive friends, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Friday at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral

service, 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Cherry Street Church of God Sanctified, Bishop Zack Flack, Eulogist. Interment Berry South Memorial Park.
