Georgia E. Bost

Georgia Etta Bost 67, - Knoxville, Tennessee transitioned to be with her Heavenly Father, April 15, 2024 with her twin by her side. Georgia never met a stranger and was very active in her community even when she didn’t feel up to it. Georgia was loved by so many that knew her.

Faithful member at Bush Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Georgia worked for many years with Knox County Schools where she later retired.

Georgia is preceded in death by parents: George and Mary Ruth Bost; sister, Lillian Bost, Mary Ruth,(Thirsty) Bost; brother, Carl Bost Sr.; niece, Tanisha Bost, nephew; Carl Bost Jr.

Georgia leaves to cherish her memories: children, Leakisha (James)McCoy, Travice Bost (Yarrish) William Bost (Chantel); eight grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved all those who knew her as “Nana”; sisters, Claudia Bost (Sam), Della (Joseph) Henry, Nashville, Tn., Victoria Wilson (Arthur); nieces and nephews too numerous to name; devoted nephew and caregiver: Roger Bost; special pet, Gucci.

A special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice, Cardiology Associates, Dr. James Alley, Kesha Brown and Consuelo Pilcher.

Family will receive friends, 12:00noon- 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church; funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Rev. Eugene Carter, Officiating, Rev. David Baxter, Eulogist.
