Ernestine Paschal Tillman of Knoxville, TN slept peacefully away on Thursday March 7, 2024 at age 83. She was born to the late John Webb Paschal Sr. and Henrietta Johnson Paschal on April 21, 1940. Ernestine was a graduate of Austin High School class of 1958. She was a former employee of Open Arms Inc., a volunteer at The Love Kitchen for several years, and a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Ernestine is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Bill Johnson, Ella Huffine, John W. (Sylvester) Paschal; husband, Nathaniel Tillman; 2 sons, Lee A “Rodney” Neal Jr. and Dwain E. Neal; 4 step daughters, brothers, Robert, John W. Jr., and Charles Paschal; and sisters, Rosa Lee Paschal, Jacqueline Williams.
She will be fondly remembered by sisters, Jacqueline Turner and Betty Foxx; brother, Jeffrey (Tasha) Turner of Lenoir City, TN, sister-in-law, Rosa Watts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends to include nephew, Jerome Paschal.
A graveside service will be held Saturday March 23, 2024 at 11am at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919. Final arrangements by Jarnigan and Son Mortuary. www.jarniganandson.com
