Eric Smith

Eric Eugene Smith, 57  gained his heavenly wings on November 5, 2025.

Preceded in death by his father, Wilford Eugene (Rusty) Smith, brothers, Richard (Bill) Smith,  Rusty D. Johnson, Derrick Eugene (Duke) Stinson, grandparents, George and Callie Johnson, Betty Mathis.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, mother Ophelia Johnson, sisters Trina a d Akeisha  (Keke) Johnson,  Kim Stinson, special nephew, Ishon Hardin Jr and special nieces Jalessa Smith, Mittie Hamilton and Danielle Smith, aunts Mary J Ellis, Diane Mathis, and Pearl (Sugar) Mathis a uncle Larry Mathis

Eric loved football, wrestling, checkers and playing pool. Eric was loved by everyone, he never met a stranger.

Eric gave his life at very you age a d he loved God with his whole heart. Special thanks to all the staff at DCI (Dialysis) and UT Hospital.

Service will be held at Open Door Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday,  November 16, 2025 receiving family and friends from 2:00-3:00pm with service following immediately. Officiating, Pastor Steve A Simpson,  Sr.
