Elizabeth Cross

With heartfelt love and cherished memories, Elizabeth Ann Cross peacefully departed this life on July 31, 2025, surrounded by family at Beverly Park Place Nursing Home.

Elizabeth was born in Lonsdale, Tennessee, on November 17, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Marie Cross; sister, Flossie Cross; and sons-in-law, John Woods Jr. and Richard Jackson.

Elizabeth Ann was a devoted woman of God whose life was a testament to love, strength, and service.

A lifelong and faithful member of True Vine Baptist Church, Elizabeth served as Vice President of the Usher Board, member of the Kitchen Committee, and President of the Pastor’s Aid Committee. Her presence uplifted all who knew her in the Lonsdale community. Always placing family at the center of her life, she found joy in listening to music and sharing togetherness with family and friends.

Elizabeth graduated from Austin High School in 1956.

She leaves to cherish her memory:Son: Ron Cross Daughters: Lisa Woods and Mandy Cross Grandchildren: Kareem Woods, Dwayne Rashod, John Woods III, Eugene Cross, Lil Ricky, Rico, Ramond Jackson, Jalessa Woods, and Johnetra Woods Great-Grandchildren: Rasheed, Audreyionna, Amarion, Janilah, Ja’Miyra, Kamari, Jaleyah, Ja’Meyah, Kamijah, Ja’Shod, Madison, Kiara, Cason, Ra’Liyah, JameelaAnd a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will carry on her legacy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at True Vine Baptist Church, located at 2547 Washington Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917 with a service to immediately follow. Interment: Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Mount Olive Cemetery, located at 2301 Barry St. Knoxville, TN 37920 Rev. Cecil Clark.
