Dia M. Young

Dia Monique Young, age 43, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

Dia was the second daughter born July 20, 1980 to the late Jon A. Young and LaNorris D. Young in Knoxville, TN. She was educated in the Knox County School system. She graduated from Karns High School in 1999. Dia also graduated from Virginia College in June 2017 with an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration. Dia was employed with Axcess Staffing.

Dia was a faithful member of Payne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed being a member of the Youth Choir, Women’s Fellowship, Youth Department Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School committees.

Dia is preceded in death by her father, Jon A. Young, uncle Jerrard F. Young,

Uncle and Aunt Charles and Bernice Davis, Uncle Gus Jaudon, and her grandparents Jerome and Wilmer Davis and Joseph and Virginia Young.

Dia leaves to mourn her passing; three sons, Jay, JaVon, and JaMaury Young. Granddaughter Ivorie Young. Mother; LaNorris Young, sisters; Ginean (Dennis) Royal (Fayetteville, NC) and L. Alexandria Young (Columbia, SC), nieces; Deneen, Dasha Royal and Lila Isom, and nephew DeAire Royal. Dia was greatly loved by her Aunts; Evelyn Jaudon (Rincon, GA), Isabell Daughtry (Savannah, GA), Vera Davis (Atlanta, GA), uncles Nathaniel (Grace) Davis (Warner Robins, GA), Robert (Ann) Davis and Jerome Davis (Savannah, GA). She will be missed by a host of cousins, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Payne Ave Baptist Church with a service to immediately follow. Located at 2714 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914. Minister Kirktenia Brown officiating.
