Debrea A. Posey

POSEY, Debra Ann Truppo was born August 26, 1962, and departed this life on November 10, 2024, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was raised in Queens, New York. She worked as a waitress during her adult life. Debra married Dennis Posey, who was a construction worker. They lived in New York until Dennis became disabled. In 1996, Debra and Dennis moved to Dandridge, TN, where they lived until Dennis transitioned in 2002.

Debra served as a caregiver for all of the kids and grandkids. She enjoyed such hobbies as knitting and crocheting.

Besides her beloved Dennis, Debra was preceded in death by her father, Robert Truppo.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her children: Barbara Posey, Brianna Evans, and William Evans; mother, Barbara Truppo; sister, Donna Truppo; and brother, Gus Truppo — along with her grandchildren and other family members and friends.

She is an active member in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit’s Assembly and Nation.

The family will welcome friends on Friday, November 22, 2024, at "The Chapel" in Jarnigan & Son Mortuary from 11:30 AM to 12:00 noon, with the service commencing at noon. The burial will take place at Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery on Lyons View Pike. Jarnigan & Son Mortuary is serving the family.
