Corryance Eugene Bennett, 32, of Knoxville, TN, entered unto eternal rest on Wednesday September 24, 2025. Corryance was born December 25, 1992 at 7:28PM in Flint, MI, the Son of Tanya Renee Flowers and Clarence Eugene Bennett.
Corryance attended both Genesee and Knox County Schools and went on to Job Corps in Kentucky. Corryance was not married neither did he leave behind any children. We are grateful for the new friends he made within the time he was with us as well as the friends that he was able to reconnect with rather in person or virtually. Corryance worked as Kitchen Support at Twin Peaks. He was most grateful for the opportunity of employment of his first adult job. He felt accomplished and proud, as were we.
Corry as I lovingly called him loved His God, his family, and friends. He was so excited to reconnect with each and every one of you. I am blessed by the stories of conversations and future plans to meet that were made. I pray that you find comfort in those connections. There was so much that Corry wanted to do but he felt blessed in what he was able to do like attend a line dancing class by his Aunt Eureka, find joy in nature with a visit to Stewarts Ferry Dam in Nashville, visit downtown Nashville and hung out on Broadway several times, going to the local fair, visiting Dollywood twice because he didn’t enjoy it so much on the first visit.
Corry spent his adult years from the age of 18-32 in Tennessee Department of Corrections where he completed the time he was to serve, there he grew physically, mentally, but most importantly spiritually. My heart smiles at remembrance of him sharing scripture, or questions, or what he has learned and come to know about God himself, teaching me along the way that God can be trusted with trouble. Corryance verbally accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on September 7. There is no greater gift that a mother could have than salvation for her child, my heart is full.
Remaining to cherish Corryances’ memory are his parents; Tanya Flowers and Clarence Bennett, Step Dad Willie Wilbanks, Grandmother’s Venita Fultz and Roylene Bennett, Bothers Couron Bennett, Troy Murphy Jr. Sisters: Canteonna (Demetry) Lowe, Arkaisha Murphy, Aun’ Janae Wilbanks, McKinna and Jalalia Bennett.
