Casper 'KC' Scruggs

Kasper “KC or “Ken” Scruggs, passed away, March 22, 2024 at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, TN; born in Greenville, TN, April 27, 1948 to the parents of Kasper Carlton and Francis Scruggs.


Kasper was a high school graduate; served in the United States Army; while in service he served in Vietnam, where he received the purple heart. He retired from Carrier Corp. He was ordained as a Minister in 2018.


Kasper attended the “House of God Church; Pastor Paulette Pace, for over 50 years; Kasper sang with various groups around the city.


Preceded in death by parents, Kasper Carlton and Francis Scruggs; wife, Patricia Peacock Scruggs; son, Gerald Scruggs; brother, Hubert “Hubbie” Lee Scruggs; stepdaughter, Teresa Stenson George; Benjamin Peacock, and Ruthie Daniels.


He leaves to mourn his passing, son, Robert Scruggs; devoted stepson, Richard (Tina) Stenson Jr.; brother-in-law, Bishop Thomas Peacock


Bishop Jeremiah Peacock, Naoleon Peacock; sister-n-Erma Jean Gilbert; very devoted friend, Darlene Moulden; a host of other relatives and friends.


Family will receive friends, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday at True Light Baptist Church, 3229 George Light Rd. Knoxville, 37931; funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Rev.


Paulette Pace, Eulogist, Rev. Darris Waters, Presiding.


Entombment, Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
