Brina Anderson-Bragg

Brina “Faye” Anderson Bragg of Knoxville, TN, Faye peacefully went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

She was born on April 6, 1954. Lovingly known as “Faye,” she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Faye was a proud graduate of Austin-East High School, Class of 1972, and went on to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she studied Psychology. Throughout her career, she served as an Executive Secretary at Alcoa Aluminum and Oakwood College.

She was a poet, singer, baker, and a woman of many gifted talents— always ready to lend a helping hand. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elenor Anderson, and her brothers Raymond, Russell, Edward, and Curtis Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her beloved sons, Troy (LaTasha) Anderson and Jason (Marsha) Bragg; Sisters, Betty Bush and Barbara Anderson; Brothers, Charlie Westley Anderson and Jerry (Lynn) Anderson; Cherished grandchildren, Kyeisha, Dieze, LaTroia, Troy Jr., and Jaslyn; Great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Kyniya, Dimere, JaColby, Greg, Je’Meriya, DK, RiRi, Zaria, Tyheed, Olivia, Kaleigha, Ariel, and Chance. She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends, including Ronald Bragg, Keva Dixson, and Angie Porter; goddaughter Shalarrya Miller; the Mobley Family; the Ligon Family; and the Burlington Community. Faye’s legacy lives on through many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to name.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bhandari, Covenant Care Hospice, and her nurse Kelly for the love and care they provided during this time.

Family will receive friends Saturday August 9, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral services to follow. Reverend Harold Middlebrook officiating.
