Brenda Jones was born July 2, 1951, to the union of the late Lloyd C. Jones Sr. and Julia Jones. She was
granted eternal rest on Monday, November 27 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital, Powell, TN.
She attended Scarboro Elementary, Robertsville Jr. High and is a 1969 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.
As a member of Mt. Zion, she served as President of the Senior Adult Ministry, and she served on the
Abby Gai Vincent Circle. She also worked for over 25 years at the K-25 Plant, and retired from Y-12 Plant, in Oak Ridge, TN.
She had so much love for everyone and never met a stranger. She was a loyal and dedicated friend to
many, and loved her family, especially her three grandbabies. She was also an excellent cook. Her Christmas cookies are known and loved by multitudes
far and near.
Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Elder Lloyd Jones, Jr., sister, Carolyn Daniel and nephew Freddie Daniel.
She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Dutchess Jones of Knoxville, TN, daughter, Dionne Harper (Peter), Oak Ridge, TN, Sister Julia Rupert (David), Powell, TN. Grandchildren, Xavier Harper, Faith Harper, Dionna Harper, all of Oak Ridge, TN, God-daughter, Brooklyn Bush, Oak Ridge, TN, Aunt Ruth Shannon of Oak Ridge, TN, Nieces and nephews, Carmen Jones, Charlotte, NC, Lloyd Jones (Victoria), Knoxville, TN, William Newson (Nichole), Chattanooga, TN, Wesley Newson (Nicole), Atlanta, GA, Candace Newson, Nashville, TN, Lisa Moss (Tony) of Tampa, FL,. Cousins, Deborah Scott, Oak Ridge, TN, Alfreeda Rupert (Joseph), Oak Ridge, TN. A host of cousins, and other relatives and friends. Also, her lifelong friend, Gail Walker who was instrumental in her care during the last months of her life.
