Bobette (McILwaine)Parker, a Loving Daughter, Mother, Sister and Grandmother.

Bobette went home to be with the Lord on 7-6-2025. She was born on May 31, 1968 in Bronx, New York.

The beloved daughter of Nancy Jett, Bobette was a woman who undoubtably loved her whole entire family with all her heart and soul. It was God and family first, over anything. And she didn’t play about none of it. Mrs. Parker was the kind of lady that would give you the shirt off her back if she needed to. She was well known wherever she went, that is for sure. Unforgettable is what she will always be to her family, loved ones and friends.

Bobette is preceded in death by her father, John McILwaine, grandmother, Ruth Smith, stepfather, Granville Jett, and Ronald Gurly. 

She leaves to cherish her memories mother, Nancy Jett; children, Shara McILwaine, Jonisha Morelan, Ronnie (Amber Fender) McILwaine, Dasiny (Demetrius Ross) McILwaine-Ross, , Rodney Smith, Kelsey Beaty, William Gillette, Dimitri Gillette; grandchildren, Aniya Mcilwaine, Destiny Lawrence,  Ron’Nayzha McILwaine, Amia Lawrence, Leron McILwaine, Da’mariyha McILwaine, and Ronnie Mcilwaine Junior; great grandchildren, Neriah Roberts, and Malachii Gilbreth, sisters, Angela Douglas and Tara Douglas; a host of nieces and nephews to include nieces, Shynika Batista, Mr.& Mrs. Ariella Henry; and a host of other family and friends and Austin Homes community to include the Gillette, Stocks, Taylor, Hacker, Morelans and Gurley families. 

Family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2025 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Marti Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral services to follow. Pastor Cedric Edwards officiating.
