Bereatha Thompson

Bereatha Hanetta Thompson, born on February 21, 1979, entered into eternal rest on September 1, 2025, at the age of 46. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished. 

She leaves behind her beloved children: Breshya(William) Geter, SamBreea Anderson, Keimonie Humphrey, CJ, Christal, and Brianna Thompson. She was also the proud grandmother of Lzari, Braxtynn, and Ryland, who brought joy to her life.

Bereatha’s memory will live on in the hearts of her extended family, including the Jackson, Funches, Thompson, Houston,  McNair, Sullivan, Boseman, and Winton families. She is also survived by her siblings: Sidney Jackson, Sheneilia Jackson Broyles(Willis), Jeffery Jackson, Patricia Thompson, Steven Thompson(Taz), Kimberly Thompson, James Thompson, Janine Thompson , Sheliah Funches Snow(Cleophus),Henry Funches Jr, Wanda Funches London(Alexander), Michael Funches, Patricia Funches, Kenny Funches, and Misaun Funches Williams

She is preceded in death by her loving mother Bertha Mae Thompson, father Henry Funches Sr, big brother Walter Funches and longtime companion Clarence E Yancey. 

She will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, all of whom will carry her spirit forward.

Bereatha’s warmth and love to her family will never be forgotten. Her legacy of strength will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Family will receive friends and family September 10, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 with services to immediately follow at Jarnigan & Son Chapel 2823 Martin Luther King Jr Avenue Knoxville Tennessee 37914. Interment to immediately follow services at Mt. Olive Cemetary, located at 2301-2403 Berry Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920.
