Barbara Jean Foster Brice-Griffin transitioned to be with her heavenly father, October 5, 2023. Born February 24, 1947, to Choice E. Johnson and Roberta E. Foster in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

She was affectionally known as Lil’ Granny and BJ to family and friends.

Preceded in death by Mother, Roberta E. Foster Harrison Gordon: Father, Choice E. Johnson; daughter, Lorraine Brice; great-grandson, Isaiah Butts; sister-in-law, Deborah Griffin; stepson, Michael Houston; and step-grandson, Jordan Griffin.

Survivors, husband, James Griffin, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Ontiveros; son, Larry Brice, Jr.; step-daughter, LaTasha (Nate) Brinson; step-sons, Glenn (Elaine) Griffin, James (Stacie) Griffin; DeWayne (Dee-Dee) Houston, and Chris Houston; sisters-in-law, Darlene Berry, Mary Griffin and Sarah Griffin, Sherry Peck; brother-in-law, Greg Peck; grand-daughter, Keisha (Sean) Wood; Constance Ontiveros and Rya Brice; grand-sons, S. Family will receive friends, Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, funeral service to follow at: Community Evangelistic Church, 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37914. Interment, 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, Berry-Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37918.
