Alvin Lawrence Chesney, Sr. transitioned peacefully, on October 9, 2023. Born in Knoxville, TN, he leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories.

He was preceded in death by parents, Nathaniel and Odessa Chesney; sister, Barbara; brother, Clifton; nephew Timothy, and son, Alvin Jr.

Alvin is survived by devoted daughter, Denise Chesney-(Jamil) Hill; grandchildren, and great-grand; devoted sister, Debra Chesney, and a host of family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jenny Roark with Covenant Health. His warm smile and generous heart touched the lives of numerous family and friends. To honor Alvin’s wishes, There will be a small intimate ceremony.
